PMR 446 is a Licence-Free radio system using handheld
radios. It is ideal for on-site communications in built
up areas up to 500metres. In open country ranges as
much as 3km and beyond can be achieved.
PMR 446 radio can be used in most European countries
without a licence.

programming and the right radio you are almost guaranteed
never to hear them.

You do get what you pay for, the more you pay the better
the construction, the clearer the audio, the better
the long term service and spares.
Remember that all PMR446 radios will talk to one another
regardless of manufacturer so a matching pair is not
usually necessary.
