This radio is ideal for outdoor pursuits. Small very robust
and weatherproof.
Much better audio than similar radios this size. All case
parts are sealed with rubber gaskets keeping out dust and
weather. Simple controls and rotating volume control.
Out of range warning facility is available when used with
other IC4088's...the radios silently contact one another each
minute and alarm if out of range.
A Smart Ring function is also included which lets you know
whether your call was received even if the user is away from
the radio.
Other facilities include, Scramble, scan and a battery saver
which powers off the radio after a couple of hours inactivity.
Uses 3AA batteries all aligned the same way for easy battery
change in the dark etc. A charging socket is built in for
an optional cigarette lighter charger.
Standard type accessory connector allows the use of any of
the Icom and unbranded earpieces we supply.
