Wire Intercom was developed for Bomb Disposal communications and proven in Marine, Industrial and Rail, maintenance applications.
There are three versions of the Wire Intercom for a variety of applications. All have identical electronics and noise cancelling performance and fully compatible where mixed headsets systems are required.
Rated IP67 and built from glass-filled polymer it has a tough rotating stainless steel clothing clip to attach it to safety harness or wet weather gear.
A large clicking PTT allows use of the boat VHF where the optional radio interface is used.
It accepts a wide range of headsets, ear-defenders and helmet kits to make an intercom that works in a diverse range of environments. It will also accept throat Mics although the ASP makes throat Mics redundant in all but a few applications.
Wire is a wired intercom that can be adapted to high and low noise systems in a wide range of applications. Industrial, Search and Rescue, Military etc. Wire is a two part technology, a speech processor (ASP) and and intercom unit (MPL).
It comprises of the full-duplex intercom unit which is clipped to the users waterproofs. The intercom unit has a large PTT which will activate the optional connected VHF radio. Into this plugs the Gecko helmet comms kit fitted to your Gecko helmet.
Each crew member plugs their intercom into the Marine User Port (MUP) and you can have many MUPs located around the boat as positions at which crew can work.
